The Immigration Partnership Fund for Immigrant and Refugee Initiatives encourages the generosity of local residents and organizations in helping immigrants and refugees reach their full potential in Waterloo Region. Established at the Waterloo Region Community Foundation in 2017, this Endowment Fund is a signal of the welcoming community the region strives to be, and helps address gaps in local supports to ensure all immigrants can settle, work and belong in Waterloo Region.

It is the legacy and tribute to the now closed Immigration Partnership Council Fund for Syrian Newcomers, held in 2016 and 2017 by the then Kitchener Waterloo Community Foundation (KWCF) and Cambridge & North Dumfries Community Foundation (CNDCF).

Since the Funds launched, local residents and businesses have donated almost $1,000,000, which has been allocated to initiatives by local agencies and sponsorship groups benefiting Syrian refugees, Afghan refugees, Ukrainians fleeing war and other immigrants and refugees.
