If you cannot find a place to rent for less than 30 percent of your monthly family income, you may qualify for community housing. The Region of Waterloo's Community Housing Access Centre (CHAC) keeps a waiting list for community housing in Waterloo Region. You must apply to find out if you qualify - if you do, you will be placed on the waiting list for a unit to be available. You can contact CHAC to find out if you qualify.
