Temporary Foreign Workers

As a migrant worker in Waterloo Region, you are an important member of our community and local economy. You are protected under Canadian labour laws, just like other workers.

You have the right to:

  • Be paid fairly and on time
  • Work in safe and healthy conditions
  • Keep your passport and personal documents
  • Ask for help if you experience unsafe or unfair treatment

If you need support, consider speaking with your employer first. Local organizations across Waterloo Region are also available to provide information, resources, and assistance.
