Immigration Partnership Council
The Immigration Partnership Council (IPC) is the leadership and connecting body of the Waterloo Region Immigration Partnership. Council Members come from diverse sectors and include leaders with lived experience of immigration.
The Council provides governance, strategic direction, and community leadership. It connects the work of Immigration Partnership’s Settle, Work, and Belong Steering Groups. The Council champions improvements in systems, policies, services, and investments that support immigrant success.
Council Responsibilities:
- Setting strategy and priorities
- Providing governance and oversight
- Advocating for system, policy and investment change
- Strengthening cross-sector partnerships
- Keeping community voices at the centre
