International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination

March 21st is an opportunity to reflect on the impacts of racism and discrimination while recognizing the importance of building welcoming, inclusive, and equitable communities for everyone.

Across Waterloo Region, community members, organizations, and leaders continue working together to foster belonging, strengthen inclusion, and address barriers experienced by racialized and newcomer communities.

Community forum & panel discussion

As part of the 2025 March 21st commemoration, the Immigration Partnership hosted a Community Forum and panel discussion focused on inclusion, belonging, reconciliation, and collective action across Waterloo Region.

The event brought together community members, organizations, and local leaders to reflect on addressing racism and discrimination and strengthening welcoming communities.
